The Circular Economy is a \"metaverse\" with attractive business opportunities that only strategically dynamic and creative organizations will access. If we transcend the regulatory dimension of waste regulation, we will discover new business models of which no traditional sector is the natural owner.
It is true that circular practices are not in themselves a novelty. Materials recycling, driven by efficiency, regulation and decarbonization, is part of the operations of many industrial and consumer companies. On the other hand, separating household waste into fractions is part of our daily life.
But putting into practice the Circular Economy is much more than recycling. Thinking and acting circularly responds to a particular way of seeing the world as a set of finite resources that must be optimized through formulas such as sustainable design, responsible consumption, reuse or regeneration. These concepts are already invented, what is transformative is to consider them a priority vs. waste landfilling, the last option.
I observe that companies ahead of their time are finding innovative ways to take advantage of the new circular winds, such as:<\/p>\n

Si trascendemos la dimensi\u00f3n normativa de la legislaci\u00f3n en materia de residuos, descubriremos nuevos modelos de negocio de los que ning\u00fan sector tradicional es due\u00f1o natural. Es cierto que las pr\u00e1cticas circulares no son en s\u00ed una novedad. El reciclado de materiales, impulsado por la eficiencia, la regulaci\u00f3n y la descarbonizaci\u00f3n, forma parte de las operaciones de muchas empresas industriales y de consumo. Por otro lado, separar los residuos dom\u00e9sticos en fracciones forma parte de nuestra vida cotidiana. Pero practicar la Econom\u00eda Circular es mucho m\u00e1s que reciclar. Pensar y actuar circularmente responde a una forma particular de ver el mundo como un conjunto de recursos finitos que hay que optimizar a trav\u00e9s de f\u00f3rmulas como el dise\u00f1o sostenible, el consumo responsable, la reutilizaci\u00f3n o la regeneraci\u00f3n. Estos conceptos est\u00e1n ya inventados, lo transformador es considerarlos prioritarios frente al dep\u00f3sito de residuos, la \u00faltima opci\u00f3n. Observo que las empresas adelantadas a su tiempo est\u00e1n encontrando caminos innovadores para aprovechar los nuevos vientos circulares, como por ejemplo: Tomando posiciones estrat\u00e9gicas en las nuevas soluciones y cadenas de valor fomentadas por la regulaci\u00f3n. Colaborando con socios medioambientales para reducir sus residuos y compartir los beneficios de una mayor valorizaci\u00f3n de sus recursos. Promoviendo ecosistemas que conectan la oferta y la demanda de productos reutilizables. Adoptando sistemas de gesti\u00f3n, en solitario o en colaboraci\u00f3n con otras organizaciones, para maximizar la utilizaci\u00f3n y la vida \u00fatil de sus activos. Incorporando la empleabilidad en la etapa s\u00e9nior de sus colaboradores como uno de los criterios para dise\u00f1ar y desarrollar sus carreras profesionales. Integrar eficazmente los principios de la Econom\u00eda Circular en la estrategia y las operaciones de las empresas tiene mucho de actitud, responsabilidad y sentido com\u00fan.
