\"ESg\", that's how I currently see it. The Environmental and Social dimensions are developing with great vitality, but Governance may be lagging behind.

The \"E\" is today more active than ever. The huge flow of projects and investment in decarbonising technologies, which are rapidly approaching their maturity and cost competitiveness, anticipates an enormous change in the statu quo<\/em> sectoral and geopolitical.

The push of the \"S\", with the pandemic as a catalyst, is transcending the traditional CSR. Social entrepreneurship and the focus on people's well-being are at all-time highs. Much remains to be done, but the trend is positive.

However, the \"G\", as I understand it, as Management, has the risk of being a mere addend and not a transversal factor that makes the set add up to much more than three. I observe some situations in this sense:<\/p>\n

  1. Plans and narratives of Sustainability disconnected from business models.<\/li>\n
  2. Sustainability functions with limited organizational attributions in practice.<\/li>\n
  3. Investment decisions that do not take into account climate action.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    A capital and transformative \u201cG\u201d, which transcends mere formal requirements, will only exist in organizations with a genuinely committed leadership to the cause. Greenwashing<\/em> also starts with \u201cg\u201d.<\/p><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

    \u00abESg\u00bb, as\u00ed lo veo actualmente. Las dimensiones Medioambiental y Social se est\u00e1n desarrollando con mucha vitalidad, pero la Gobernanza puede estar qued\u00e1ndose rezagada. La \u201cE\u201d es hoy m\u00e1s protagonista que nunca. El enorme flujo de proyectos e inversi\u00f3n en tecnolog\u00edas descarbonizadoras, que se acercan r\u00e1pidamente a su madurez y competitividad en costes, anticipa un enorme cambio en el statu quo sectorial y geopol\u00edtico. El empuje de la \u201cS\u201d, con la pandemia como catalizadora, est\u00e1 desbordando los cauces de la RSC. El emprendimiento social y el foco en el bienestar de las personas est\u00e1n en m\u00e1ximos hist\u00f3ricos. Queda mucho por mejorar en la sociedad, pero la tendencia es positiva. Sin embargo, la \u201cG\u201d como yo la entiendo, como Gesti\u00f3n, tiene el riesgo de ser un mero sumando y no un factor transversal que hace que el conjunto sume mucho m\u00e1s que tres. Observo algunas situaciones en este sentido: Planes y narrativas de Sostenibilidad desconectados del modelo de negocio. Funciones de Sostenibilidad con escaso ascendente organizativo en la pr\u00e1ctica. Decisiones de inversi\u00f3n que no tienen en cuenta el impacto de la acci\u00f3n clim\u00e1tica. Una \u201cG\u201d may\u00fascula y transformadora, que trascienda los meros requisitos formales, solo se dar\u00e1 en organizaciones con un liderazgo genuinamente comprometido con la causa.
